Ingenuity Cloud Services offers hourly billing for select bare metal server configurations, providing flexible, pay-as-you-use pricing for short-term workloads, testing environments, and dynamic scaling requirements.

Supported Specifications and Add-ons

Identifying Hourly-Enabled Servers

Not all bare metal server configurations support hourly billing. To identify which specifications and add-ons are available for hourly billing in your desired location, use the hourly billing filter on the bare metal deployment page. Alternatively, if using the API, use the inventory list endpoint with the hourly_enabled=true filter parameter.

This filter will return only the server configurations and add-ons that support hourly billing, along with their hourly and monthly pricing. The availability and pricing may vary by location.

Hourly Billing Eligibility

Server configurations and add-ons that support hourly billing will include:

• Both hourly and monthly pricing in the API response
• Trust level requirements for hourly billing access
• All standard features available with monthly billing

Caution

Operating System Limitations: Windows operating systems are not supported with hourly billing. Only Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, Debian) are available for hourly-billed servers.

Cancellation Rules

Immediate Cancellation

Hourly bare metal servers can be cancelled at any time with immediate effect:

• Minimum Billing: 1 hour minimum charge applies
• Prorated Billing: Charged for actual usage in partial hours

Billing Upon Cancellation

• Usage Calculation: Billed up until the end of the current hour
• Add-on Charges: All add-ons cancelled simultaneously
• Refunds: No refunds for minimum 1-hour charge

Caution

Immediate Destruction Warning: The server will be destroyed immediately upon cancellation and this action cannot be undone. All data will be permanently lost. Ensure you have backed up any critical data before cancelling.
